rất, quá & lắm to emphasize something is very common in Vietnamese.
Lắm
Very + adjective = adjective + lắm
like/want something + very much = subject + verb + object + lắm
Nem rán ngon lắm! => Fried spring rolls very yummy.
Tôi thích phở bò lắm! => I like phở bò very much!
Rất
Rất is the same as lắm, but is placed before the adjective or verb: rất + adjective/verb
Anh ấy rất bận. => He is very busy.
Tôi rất thích nhà hàng này. => I really like this restaurant.
Quá
Quá is used to exlaim something, either very good, or very bad. It can be placed either before or after the adjective: adjective + quá or quá + adjective
Anh ấy quá mệt vì làm việc quá nhiều. => He is too tired because of too much works.
Hôm nay, cô ấy đẹp quá! => Today, she is so beautiful.
Bức tranh này quá đắt! => This picture is too expensive.
